The Vans World Cup of Surfing was held in perfect 10 foot Sunset. 19 year old local boy, John John Florence schooled the pack to take first place. John John not only showed local knowledge of his home breaks, but came through with a sich barrel ride at Sunset Beach to take the win. Congratulations to John John.
The Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa was held in small surf for Hawaiian standards. Taj Burrow took the first stop of the Vans Triple Crown and took home a Ukalele hand made by the owner of the famous Surf & Sea in Haleiwa.
It`s that time of year again. With just a few days left, theThe 2011 Surfer Poll Awards were held last week in its 41st ceremony. The Surfer Poll Awards first started in 1963.
