This past weekend, for the fifth consecutive year in a row, one of the best longboarding and SUP events in Mexico took place in the magical town of Sayulita, Nayarit.

The surfing community gathered to enjoy this great show that the Punta Sayulita Classic offered. Competitors from various countries participated in the fifth edition, making it more exciting and challenging for local Mexican surfers.

We saw several of the prominent national and world championship surfers compete, several of whom had given everyone the satisfaction and joy of seeing Mexico win their first medals in the recent World Games. Now, the “bronze race” defended their beach in this new battle, the Sayulita Classic.

Three days of intense activities were held, in addition to the main event—the competitions that included the participation of kids all the way to adults. The icing on the cake was the participation of the women in the competition, as families came to the beach to support their favorites.

The ECO-Warrior Foundation gathered kids and families on the beach to create environmental awareness by cleaning up the beach, while Integral Family Development (DIF, for its initials in Spanish) participated by bringing kids with special needs to the Surf Clinics that were given by professionals in their field. There was also a live concert featuring G. Love & Special Sauce that was held as a benefit presentation.
